Kavana's Sunday Salt Soak is recommended for use ( 2Tbsp at a time) during the Luteal phase (week 4) of a woman's cycle and in Perimenopause and Menopause. In the second half of the Luteal phase, prostaglandins increase, relative to lowering estrogen levels. Prostaglandins are needed for menstruation, as they help the body shed the lining of the uterus by causing contractions. This can cause cramps.
