Named after the Hebrew word for "that which is essential," it draws inspiration from the quiet symbolism of trees and the traditional use of naturally fallen Palo Santo. In traditional Indigenous and Shamanic practices around Central and South America, Palo Santo wood is never cut from the tree, but gathered from fallen branches and left to mature, so that the scent develops and deepens. Burning this wood, is considered a sacred, grounding ritual, and it's believed to disspell negative energies and attract positive vibrations. I created this Perfume Poem with the Kavana or intention, of helping the wearer feel grounded, connected to their true essential self and to joy, however subtle or profound.
